Shannon Avery is the Human Resources Director at Caliber Midstream. She joins Caliber with a proven track record of leadership, performance management and helping companies achieve better results by strategically aligning HR functions with business operations and management goals. She specializes in employee compensation, benefits, administration, policies, recruiting/on-boarding and regulatory compliance.
Ms. Avery has worked as both an HR specialist and generalist during a career that has included roles at oil and gas exploration and production companies, an aviation technology firm and a government agency.
Before coming to Caliber, Ms. Avery worked as an HR Generalist at GMX Resources, Inc., where she led the initiative to redesign and implement the HRIS/Payroll system. This initiative added greater flexibility to payroll processing and employee self-service capabilities and integrated the payroll system with financial analysis cost-accounting requirements. At GMX, she also evaluated all employee health and welfare benefits programs and implemented a company-wide compliance training program, employee handbook and an HR policy manual.
Ms. Avery was as an HR Business Generalist at Jeppesen Technology Services prior to working at GMX. At Jeppesen, she implemented foundational HR services such as formalized recruiting, on-boarding, performance reviews and employee coaching and incentive programs.
