David Scobel’s 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry include extensive work in gas gathering and processing from the business development, project design, cost and construction management perspectives.
Before joining Caliber, Mr. Scobel was Vice President of Operations at Meritage Midstream. He was part of the management team that built the Eagle Ford Escondido and Cuervo Creek gathering systems, which went from greenfield development to 185 miles of pipeline in less than two years, transporting and processing more than 170 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.
Prior to joining Meritage, Mr. Scobel served as Director of Projects with Merchant Energy Partners, where he was responsible for the design of the East Cheyenne Gas Storage Project, and as a consultant for Rocky Mountain Division Business Development for Superior Pipeline Company, where he presented management with $98 million in acquisition opportunities and three greenfield projects within nine months. Additionally, he served as Midstream Facilities Manager for the Bill Barrett Corporation and Project Manager for Bear Paw Energy and Thunder Creek Gas Services.
Mr. Scobel is a member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Gas Processors Association, where he has served on the Board of Directors. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical and petroleum refining engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
